Upward Bound Updates
July 17th Update:
Today you will be receiving a handout with directions for your final project. Remember that this will be due our last day of the program, July 31st. Don't forget to invite your friends and family to see your hard work in class! It is impossible to pass the class without this project completed and presented. Another reminder is that your book presentation will be on Monday, July 28th. A reminder slip will be given to you today. If you haven't been reading I am worried for you. Even though we only spend a short amount of time in class reading you need to find time in your busy lives to take a moment to read.
Reading Tips: I like to set an alarm on my phone. When this alarm goes off I will set a timer for a half hour. This will ensure that I am taking time out of my day to stop and read. Another idea is to read before you go to bed. Aim for one or two chapters each time you sit down. If you do this daily you will be amazed at how quickly you're able to finish a book!
July 15th Update:
Hello Upward Bound! Most of you are on top of your work but some of you are missing several in class assignments. Your mid term evaluations are being sent home. You won't be able to attend New York if you are not doing your work in my class. Please make sure you are caught up with everything! I am concerned for a few of you - the rest thank you for getting your assignments in on time and completed!
